01 | Tin figure

Tin and zinc figure made into a seated figure. On the base there are Hebrew characters. It was dug up in 1853 in Bodwen Moor, Lanlivery, near the site of a ‘Jew’s House’ smelting house.

02 | Tin ingot

Tin ingot found near a ‘Jew’s House’ smelting house at Carnanton, St Mawgan in Pydar. It is stamped several times. Around 1700 years old.

03 | Tin candle

Tin ‘candle’ formed by molten metal at the smelting house dripping through a leak in furnace. Collected by A. K. Hamilton Jenkin, Cornish Mining historian.

04 | Tin ingot

Tin ingot from Trethurgy Round, St Austell. Around 2000 years old.

05 | Tin ingot

Tin ingot with cross shape on the top. These were found among fossil wood at Praa Sands, Mount’s Bay, Cornwall. Around 1400 years old.
